Underground Utility Contractor in Central Florida

Comprehensive underground utility construction — water, sanitary, storm, reclaim, lift stations and force main — performed by qualified SDC crews.

SDC installs the underground infrastructure that Central Florida developments and public facilities run on: potable water and fire protection, sanitary collection, storm drainage, reclaimed water, lift stations, force main, and storage and distribution networks for wastewater treatment systems.

Our underground utility experience is comprehensive and performed by qualified individuals. Working from Oviedo, we serve Orlando, Seminole, Orange, Osceola, Polk and the surrounding Central Florida counties, including deep installations in active corridors where traffic has to keep moving around the work.

What We Self-Perform

Water main and fire protection

Water main installation, fire line systems, hydrants, valves and backflow assemblies, with pressure testing and disinfection coordinated for acceptance.

Sanitary sewer

Gravity sanitary collection systems, manholes and services, plus fiberglass lift stations and force main for developments that pump to an existing system.

Storm drainage

Storm sewer piping and structures, including large-diameter reinforced concrete pipe runs — our New Hampshire Avenue work included more than 1,300 linear feet of 60-inch and 66-inch RCP.

Reclaimed water and treatment plant piping

Reclaim distribution and the yard piping, storage and distribution networks associated with wastewater treatment facilities.

Utility relocations and adjustments

Coordinating and executing relocations and adjustments of existing utilities so new infrastructure can be installed without interrupting service to occupied properties.

Restoration

Backfill, subgrade repair, roadway restoration, paving and striping over the completed utility work.

Who We Work With

General contractors

A utility subcontractor with deep utility experience who can sequence around vertical construction and plant work on a shared site.

Public agencies and utility owners

Infrastructure work on facilities that serve growing communities, including roadway, drainage and utility improvements at a water reclamation facility.

Developers

The full wet-utility package for a new community, delivered alongside SDC earthwork and paving crews under one contract.

How We Work

  1. 1. Scope and quantity review

We review utility plans, profiles and geotechnical data, flag conflicts with existing utilities, and price the work scope by scope.

  2. 2. Permits, coordination and MOT

We plan dewatering, sheeting, utility locates, relocation coordination and maintenance of traffic before a trench is opened.

  3. 3. Installation and testing

Crews install, test and document each system, with safety ranked above all other aspects of the operation.

  4. 4. Restoration and turnover

Backfill, base, paving, striping and record documentation for the owner and the agency accepting the system.
